Wow! We have been going all day! We had the most incredible morning visiting Rosh Hanikra. Here we explored caves and a gratto on the Northern tip of Israel. In fact, these caves were built to have a train line between Israel and Lebanon. We stood at the border and looked up at the fence.
From Rosh Hanikra we traveled the Northern road and looked at the varied mountainsides. At times I felt like we were looking at Israel, while other places felt like the north Ga Mountains. We saw Lebanon off in the distance as we traveled parallel to the border. It was amazing to see the landscape difference. We tried to take pictures but they didn’t come out well.
We went down to the Hula Valley where we stopped for the “best hamburger in Israel.” It was so good, the boys deemed it #2 best burger under Village Burger. If ever you find yourself in the Hula Valley stop at Route (Kivsh) 90 Burger and Beer.
We arrived home for a couple hours to rest up (or play soccer depending on your preference) before going to the Beit Shein “Night Show”. In my life I’ve seen ancient Roman ruins, but never like this. The show only starts after dark with an animated depiction of the history of the ancient city. We then walked through the city with a great tour guide who brought it to life for us. In the distance we saw the evening lights of Jordan.
