Tomorrow's the Big Day

Tomorrow is the big day!!! I can't believe that 37.5 weeks have passed in this journey and tomorrow we will finally be able to see our little boys and begin to get to know who they are. I'm flooded with a range of emotions. I'm excited to meet our new family. We will go to the hospital as a couple and leave as a family, WOW! I'm in disbelief. Though I still feel my boys kicking around, my belly is HUGE, I can't roll over in bed easily, or walking up the stairs takes incredible effort, yes it is all real. However somehow I'm still in disbelief that we are going to have 2 little boys come home with us.

Many people ask us if we are "ready". My answer is always as ready as I can be. Honestly, I don't know what to expect out of having my babies and bringing them home. I think Glenn and I are as prepared as possible. We have all the "stuff" we need. We are excited to welcome the boys into our home and family and we have spent so much time dreaming about what it will be like to have them. I guess that is as ready as we can be. Only time will tell if we were truly prepared. But I ask you this... can you ever be ready?

Friday, we went to our last perinatal appointment with Dr. Allen. We saw the boys on ultrasound for the last time. Dr. Allen was shocked that we came back to see him because a month ago, he thought for sure he wouldn't see us. Also, by the looks of the ultrasound, he said that he believes that both boys are at least 6 pounds. Who ever thought that I would still be pregnant in June, make it to my c-section date, and deliver 6 pounders. I know that this is something I hoped for all along, but as you know I have been prepared for the boys to come early for a long time.

Well, my next post will be after the boys are here. So be on the look out. We will send an e-mail with birth information after they are born.

Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive throughout this pregnancy. We look forward to introducing the boys to you and sharing our family with you.

8 Days Left

If A and B don't decide to come sooner, then we will meet them one week from tomorrow. At this point I honestly believe that they are waiting to meet Dr. Garcia on June 10 and they don't want to meet any of the other doctors in the practice. The longer they stay in the better right?!?

I have to admit that this pregnancy has been really easy. Though I'm having a rough time now I'm not really experiencing some of the annoying things that most pregnant people feel. Either I don't drink enough or my body is more like a camel, but I've been sleeping through the night the last few nights and not waking up to pee. I also have not had any back pain. Only when I stand up for a while. (Cooking, cleaning, and shopping are things of the past) Though I've been asking the boys to come on 6-3-09, I don't think they are coming this week anymore. I only have a few contractions each day, nothing that I would consider a sign of an upcoming labor. But then again, they may surprise me and show up one day. None the less, I think we are mostly prepared and just waiting. Glenn is nesting some. Now that the lawn mower is fixed, he mows weekly, just in case, he also got a super short haircut because he knows he won't have much time. Funny! Other husbandly nesting items include a new mailbox and fixing the hole in the front yard. (The hole is from settling of dirt when we had the sewer line replaced.) But most everything is done around the house.

I go to the OB on Thursday and peri-natal specialist on Friday. If I make it to Fri. We will be able to see the boys again and get an estimate on size and weight. I can't wait to find out how big they are. I'm so excited. After that Wednesday the 10th is the big day! They'll be delivered that day if they don't come sooner. YAY!!!!

Though we are better at taking pictures now, I'm not posting them. Just take my word that I'm HUGE!!! Imagine my little body with an egg sticking out of the front. Funny right? Well that's about what I look like. I'll update again after Friday's appointment because I feel like these boys are going to prove Dr. Allen wrong and he will see us again.

Have a great day!
