2 little monkies! 8 weeks old

The Magic 12 weeks

Hi Everyone,

It has been 6 weeks since I've had a chance to get to the computer to update the blog. I don't have pictures today, but you can always visit my and Glenn's Facebook pages to see recent baby pictures.

Well, everyone talks about the "fourth" trimester or the magic 12 weeks. This past Wednesday was Colin and Brandon's 12 week birthday. And wow how things have changed. Not only for the boys but for Glenn and myself. Glenn and I are finding it much easier now that the boys are a little older. Maybe it is the fact that they are sleeping at night 8-11 hour stretches. Colin can sleep 11 1/2 hours and Brandon is teatering between 8 and 11. Some days he surprises us and others we dread waking up and just hope that he falls back to sleep without Mommy or Daddy intervention. I just remind myself that he is just a baby and we are lucky he sleeps as long as he does.

Other than sleep, the boys are doing great!! They both love tummy time. That is when we let them lay on their tummies. Brandon LOVES to look at a mirror and stick out his tongue. He also smiles and coos at the mirror. He rolls from his tummy to back so easily. Or he just rocks forward and back. It is such a sight to see. He really holds his head up well. Colin has always loved tummy time. He also likes a mirror, but not as much as B. He holds his body up, rocks back and forth, and also rolls from his tummy to his back. He is so strong.

Both boys coo and smile. Brandon is "talking" more than Colin right now but they both have infectious smiles. When I look at their smiles my heart warms up so much. Smiles make me really appreciate the little people Brandon and Colin are becoming.

Lately, the boys have been taking good notice of the mobiles ab0ve their crib. It can provide me enough time to shower, eat, or change one baby. They just stare at it watching the animals and swirls go by. Colin especially loves the music played from it.

In less than 2 weeks, I'll be returning to work. Sadly, I'll leave my little boys all day, but I'm confident that they are in good hands. We hired a nanny to look after them. She is great with them. Once I'm working again, I'll get much better at writing updates, because I'll have computer time to do it. Currently I only have a few minutes each night.
