The Countdown is on!

Hi Everyone,

We are about to hit the 2 week mark. YES!!!! At most, we have two weeks until our little boys join our family. I have to admit that though I'm still feeling well, still going out to lunch with friends or running an errand each day, it is getting tough. This belly is getting HUGE and it is also becoming more and more difficult to do simple tasks. Hopefully time will fly by.

An Action Packed 33 Weeks

Hi,

This past week was full of action. Wednesday I had braxton hicks all day. (False labor contractions) I went home from work, laid down, drank water, fell asleep and felt better. Then Thursday I felt much better! Until the afternoon when I began feeling cramps that steadily got worse. We ended up at the hospital for monitoring. I guess my body wasn't so happy with me moving around so much. It turned out to be more false labor contractions. The difference between braxton hicks and real contractions, is that the bh don't dialate me at all. So, everything was good except that the Dr. recommended that I stop working until after the babies are born.

I can't say that I'm upset by that! Work was really getting hard for me. I would make it through the day only to crash on the couch when I got home. Now, I'm able to listen to my body more easily. If I need to lay down I can. If I need to go to the bathroom, I don't have to wait until my 3 maybe 5 minutes between classes.

Well, that's not all!! We had a perinatal appointment Friday where we had our monthly ultrasound. The boys have really grown!!! "A" weighs 4lb 10oz and "B" weighs 4lb 8oz. AMAZING!! Like usual B was moving all around during the ultrasound and A just slept quietly. Hmmm, does this indicate what they may be like after they are born??

My doctor was so pleased with the boys and my body. He wants me to schedule an appointment in another month, but he does not think he'll see us again. He thinks we have several more weeks left. I can't complain about anything he said. Because everything is moving on beautifully! As of now there is no threat of the boys coming any time soon.

Keep your fingers crossed for a few more weeks! As much as I want to meet A and B, I really want them to grow bigger and stronger inside before they make their grand enterance into our world and our family.

A few photos

Hi Everyone,

I am posting a few photos from our photo shoot as well as from my shower. The photo shoot was a few weeks ago, so imagine the belly just a few centimeters bigger. We have another ultrasound on Friday where Glenn and I get another peek at the boys. I can't wait to find out how big they are now. I think I saw a foot this morning when I was getting ready for work. I was looking in the mirror and saw bumps moving around my belly then suddenly and only for a moment a small foot like shape appeared. I'm not sure if I was delirious due to the thousands of times I'm waking up (both due to pregnancy and Maisie being awake) or if it was in fact a foot.

Here ya go! Enjoy the photos.
